Holly’s last scenes are in September.
Fan favourite Holly Cunningham is set to leave the soap later this year.
The character who has already been recast several times will air her final scenes in September.
The 27 year old star, Amanda Clapman has decided to quit to pursue other projects.
An insider told The Sun Online: “Amanda’s last scenes on the soap will be on TV in September.
“Amanda wants to explore other roles and would even move to America like other former ‘Hollyoaks’ cast members who’ve had success out there.
“She’s loved every minute of being on the show but it’s time to move on.”
Amanda is said to be “sad” to depart the soap after appearing in some hard-hitting plots over the years, including Holly being raped by her boyfriend Nick Savage (Ben-Ryan Davies) and causing the death of Rachel Hardy (Jennifer Brooke).
The insider added: “She’s sad to leave but knows it’s the right time.
“She’s had some huge storylines in her five years on the show, and has chosen to go out on a high.”
